About Alphonso Edwards II
ARTIST BIO... A Visual Journey
Simplicity with no confusion is who I am and what my art is about. Life’s various experiences, thoughts and moments in time have forged who I have become today but, change is ever present personally and artistically. My artwork is my peace of mind… for the goal is not about where I am going but rather the journey that I take to get there to produce the art that I enjoy doing. I am an Illustrator by nature but an Abstractionist by heart. Those who have inspired me in the development of my style include Lois Mailou Jones, Edward Hopper and Piet Mondrian. The human figure in its entirety provides a canvas for expressing my thoughts by combining abstract concepts with reality. My culture in which I am a part of is my theme. Pencil, marker, pastel, chalk, crayons, watercolor, Acrylic and pen and ink are my tools.

I am simply me...Alphonso Edwards II the artist.
